Coyote Forces Lockdown Of Saddle Brook High/Middle School

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- A coyote spotted on the grounds of Saddle Brook High/Middle School forced a lockdown Tuesday afternoon.

Principal John Lawlor sent a "situational awareness" email to parents, and Saddle Brook police posted a message on Facebook.

"It was first seen on the east side of school property moving towards Saddle River Park area," Police Chief Robert Kugler told Daily Voice.

"All residents are asked to be cognizant of their surroundings and report any further sighting to the police department," the chief said.
