Parishioners of an early morning mass at St Philip the Apostle Church discovered the break-in, Police Chief Robert Kugler told Daily Voice."Two St. Vincent de Paul donation boxes were forced open," he said.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification joined Detective Capt. Vincent Laurentino and Detective Sgt. Jeff Panagia in processing evidence.

"Not only were surveillance cameras watching but, more significantly, our Almighty Father was," Kugler said, "and I'm sure He was disappointed, especially during such an important holiday for the church."
