The shooting occurred just before 11:30 p.m. in Parking Lot #4 after the “Forest Hill Drive Tour” concert, which featured J. Cole, Big Sean, YG and Jeremiah, NJSP Sgt. Gregory Williams said.

Both victims were taken by helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City.

State Police choppers provided spotlights around the arts center as the search for the gunman — including K-9 units — continued past midnight.

Unconfirmed reports were that the dispute was over a woman, a law enforcement source told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

“There’s a suspect in mind,” the source said. “Interviews were being conducted.”

State Police asked that anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or who has information that could help the investigation call them: (732) 441-4550.

An earlier report from the scene that one victim shot and another struck by a car was erroneous, Williams told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
