ELMWOOD PARK -- Richard John Szot, a lifelong resident of Elmwood Park, died Saturday, Jan. 23. He was 63.
He had a varied career in the technical and customer support field with companies such as Bank of America, GE Capital & finally Wells Fargo. He was a longtime member of the Bergen County Players as a performer, costumer and wig maker.
He is survived by his mother Wanda; his son Kristofer; his granddaughter Kristen; and his brother Michael.
There will be a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday with Father Charles Perricone officiating at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home 274 Market St., Elmwood Park. Visiting hours are from 4-7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, individuals are asked to make a tribute donation to Cancer Support Community.
