SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- Marianne (Pierce) Robbins, of Saddle River, died on Tuesday, March 8. She was 87.
Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, Robbins attended nursing school and worked at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. After moving to Norwood, she joined St. Pius X church and sang in the choir, was a member of Cornerstone and participated in volunteer projects through the church.
Robbins was also a devoted yoga practitioner and walked in the outdoors regularly.
She is survived by her children, Diane O'Rorke, Nancy Robbins, and Paul Robbins and his wife Karen; grandchildren Dominique, Malinda, Riley and Morgan; siblings Edward Pierce and Joan Pescetelli; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Robbins was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Milton Robbins.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, in Northvale. A funeral mass will be celebrated on 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, at St. Pius X Church, in Old Tappan, with interment to follow at Westchester Hills Cemetery, in Hastings-On-Hudson, New York.
