Jan Kulik, 84, Elmwood Park Resident

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. – Jan Kulik, of Elmwood Park, died Friday, June 10. He was 84.

Born in Osmolowszczyzno, Poland, he came to the United States in 1976, and lived in Passaic before moving to Elmwood Park 40 years ago. 

Prior to his retirement in 2011, he was a welder and mechanic for Vangurrd Plastics in Paterson for more than 20 years. He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church in Garfield.

He was the husband of Helena (Adamowicz) Kulik; father of Ann Konopka and Bea Burgio and her husband, Mark, all of Lake Wiley, S.C., and Grace Kulik of South Kingston, R.I.; and grandfather of Julian, James, Andrew, Kelly, Julia and Jack.

He was predeceased by his first wife Daniela (Kirejczyk); three brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will take place from 8-9 a.m. Wednesday at Kamienski Funeral Home of Garfield, 207 Ray St. Garfield. A funeral Mass will follow from 9-10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church, 184 Ray St., Garfield. Interment will take place at St. Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Ave., South Hackensack.
