ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Lifelong Elmwood Park resident Donald Fuenning died Friday, Jan. 8. He was 83.
Born in East Paterson -- now known as Elmwood Park -- Fuenning was a lifelong resident of the borough. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corp in Alaska in the 1950s.
Fuenning was the co-owner of Fuenning Florist in Elmwood Park his whole life. He enjoyed baseball and the Pacers.
His is survived by his brother Albert; nieces Patricia and Kathleen; and cousins Ida and Florence. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Irma (Cerette) Fuenning.
Visitation hours will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, 274 Market St., Elmwood Park. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
