ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. – Anna Marino Sarno, a resident of Elmwood Park, died Tuesday, June 7. She was 93.
She was born in Akron, Ohio, one of six children raised by Leo and Mary Marino of Camporeale, Sicily.
She met her husband, John Sarno in 1939, when she was working as a factory girl at the Elks Piece and Dye Works in Garnerville, N.Y. She was living with her family in Haverstraw, N.Y. at the time.
She is survived by her four children; grandchildren Elise and William Sarno, Michael Schweighardt, Lea and Kryssy Sarno, and Elizabeth and Carolyn Sarno; great-grandchildren Alex Gates, Marla and Jack Schweighardt and Jayden and Jalyssa Santana.
