"I'm happy to report that our application submitted under the Direct Install Grant Program was approved for three township buildings," White said. "We have been awarded approximately $30,000 for the DPW garage, $17,350 for Engine Company No. 2 Firehouse, and $12,380 for Hook and Ladder Fire Company."

The money will be used for new, energy-efficient lighting and heating or air-conditioning upgrades. With these grants, PSE&G will pay 100 percent of the installation cost for the upgrades, and the township repays 30 percent, either in a lump sum or interest-free on its PSE&G bill over 36 months.
