The driver found Sophia in Saddle Brook, scooped her up and cared for her -- then spotted one of several fliers that owner Frank Rigolioso posted around Elmwood Park.
"I can't even explain what the feeling was. I was just so relieved," Rigolioso told Daily Voice.
Rigolioso got the call on Oct. 15, then picked up Sophia at the police station.
She was a little "mopey" at first, he said, but quickly got back to her old self.
Rigolioso thanked everyone online and in town who either participated in the search or encouraged him to remain positive after the wind blew open his front door and Sophia bolted on Oct. 1.
"It was a rough two weeks. It was great to see her," he said. "I just couldn't believe it."
