ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- The annual Mr. Cupcakes Car Show will be held Sunday, July 17 -- and this year it will benefit two Elmwood Boys with a rare and very fatal disease.

The brothers, ages 7 and 9, have a genetic disease called MPS II or Hunter Syndrome, which often results in a greatly shortened lifespan. Most children with it do not reach 15.

The boys have countless doctor appointments and many therapies. All proceeds of this event will go to Jason N Justin’s Journey, to help pay for treatment and life-saving medications.

The car show will feature the Mr. Cupcakes Crew and live entertainment by Nikki Briar, Big Bad John, Lauren Davidson, No Turn on Red, Scott Reid. There will be food trucks serving breakfast and lunch -- as well as cupcakes from Mr. Cupcakes, of course. There will also be a tricky tray, auction, 50/50, fun bus, face painting, and balloon animals for kids.

Cars, trucks and motorcycles of all years are welcome, and trophies will be awarded to the top three in each class. Registration is $20 free, payable at the event. There is no admission fee for spectators.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Berkeley College, 64 E. Midland Ave., in Paramus. The rain date is Sunday, July 24. If you can't make the car show, you can also donate here.
