Elmwood Park Centennial Parade Still Seeking Float Participants

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Several organizations are already signed up to march or have floats in the Centennial Parade, and the deadline has been extended to Friday, May 27, if others want to get in on that action.

There's a float contest, with large and small float categories. All participants must be registered in order to march. Get the registration form here, at the mayor and borough clerk's offices, or requested by emailing Parade@ep100.org.

Here are the participants so far:

  • Troop 80,
  • St. Leo's Church,
  • Spencer Savings Bank,
  • Let Them Be Little x2 Foundation,
  • EP Alumni,
  • Elmwood Park Centennial History Committee,
  • Miss Elmwood Park pageant winners and
  • the River Man.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 12, at the Elmwood Park Memorial High School. It will end at the Pine Street entrance to Memorial Field, "where participants and the public will enjoy a hometown style fair," organizers note.

"Come out and be part of this historic event ... and share in the family, friendship and fun in this exciting once-in-a-lifetime community event."
