Two New Jersey homeowners have been charged after separate house parties drew hundreds of people, overwhelmed police resources, forced a Wawa to temporarily close, and sparked fights, underage drinking and shoplifting, authorities said.
Officers began receiving numerous 911 calls at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, about two disorderly gatherings on the 900 block of Twelve Oaks Drive and the 1100 block of Tamarind Place, Monroe Township police in Gloucester County said.

A 44-year-old man whose body was found behind a North Jersey library is being remembered as a devoted father, beloved son and brother as his family mourns the unexpected loss.
Adam Steel, formerly of Clifton and East Rutherford and most recently of Sparta, died on Friday, June 19, according to his obituary on the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service website.

Elijah Stephen, 3, of Blackwood, drowned on Saturday, June 27, according to a GoFundMe set up to support his family.

911 Hang-Up Leads To Arrest Of Man In Violent Bergen County Attack: Cops
A 911 hang-up call led police in one Bergen County town to an injured woman and the arrest of a 44-year-old man accused of robbery, assault and stealing the victim's vehicle, authorities said.
Officers responded to the call in North Arlington at approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday, June 28, and found an injured adult woman before launching an investigation, according to Capt. David Hudak. The suspect had already fled the scene.
