Crash With NJ Transit Coast Line Train Suspends Service, No One Hurt
North Jersey Coast Line rail service has resumed in both directions between Bay Head and Long Branch after an earlier collision with a vehicle, authorities said. At approximately 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, North Jersey Coast Line train 3312 struck the unoccupied vehicle at Cedar Avenue crossing in Long Branch, according to a NJ Transit spokesman. Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Train At Jersey Shore
A male was fatally struck by a train over the weekend at the Jersey Shore, NJ Transit officials confirmed. The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was struck by a North Jersey Coast Line train just before stopping in Spring Lake around 3 a.m. Sunday, June 4, NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said. None of the eight people on board train No. 4795 were injured. The train had departed Long Branch at 2:42 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Bay Head at 3:22 a.m.

Man Killed By Train In Monmouth County
A man was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train in Monmouth County Saturday, March 11. The man was struck by North Jersey Coast Line train 4756 around 5:45 p.m. on Corlies Avenue near the Bradley Beach station, a New Jersey Transit spokesperson said. The train departed Bay Head at 5:19 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Long Branch at 5:58 p.m. There were no injuries reported to the five customers or crew on board. The next three North Jersey Coast Line trains were cancelled due to this incident, service has resumed.

A man was struck and killed by a train Sunday night in Asbury Park, authorities said. The man was struck along the North Jersey Coast Line tracks near First Avenue around 9:55 p.m., New Jersey Transit spokesman Jim Smith said. Rockland County Man Struck, Killed By Train Along Jersey Shore
A 54-year-old Rockland County man was struck and killed by a train along the Jersey Shore Monday, rail officials said. The North Jersey Coast Line train struck Stephen B. Mangold, of Bardonia, near 11th Avenue and Main Street in Neptune around 11:50 a.m., NJ.com said citing an NJ Transit spokeswoman. There were 60 passengers aboard the train at the time of the incident, and service was suspended between Bay Head and Long Branch for approximately one hour.

A spokeswoman for NJ Transit blamed "human error" for a frightening incident Monday evening, when the doors opened on the wrong side of a train at the Secaucus Junction station, sending a man spilling out. The man was not seriously injured and declined medical attention. The incident occurred aboard a North Jersey Coast Line shortly before 6 p.m. The train was stopped at the station when the doors opened, sending the man tumbling onto the tracks. Fanwood Resident, 65, Threatened Train Conductor With Scissors: Police
A Fanwood man has been charged with aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and weapons offenses for allegedly threatening a train conductor with a pair of scissors Friday, NJ Transit said. Prudencio Cruz, 65, allegedly threatened the conductor of a North Jersey Coast Line train as it was pulling into Perth Amboy. Cruz fled when the train stopped. The conductor was unhurt. Some NJ Transit Trains To NYC Will Be Diverted To Hoboken This Summer
NJ Transit Thursday announced changes to rush-hour service on the Montclair-Boonton, North Jersey Coast and Morris and Essex lines in order to accommodate repair work on two rail lines used by Amtrak at Penn Station New York.
