8-Year-Old Horseback Rider Seriously Injured In New Jersey SUV Crash
An 8-year-old horseback rider suffered serious injuries in a crash with an SUV in North Jersey this week, authorities said. The child was riding the horse along Linn Smith Road in Frankford Township, when the horse traveled into the roadway and struck the side of a Ford SUV around 5:10 p.m, New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. The 8-year-old was ejected and suffered serious injuries. The horse suffered moderate injuries. No further information was provided.

A state trooper and a motorcyclist were hurt in a Sussex County crash involving a marked police SUV, authorities said. The crash occurred at the intersection of Route 565 and Linn Smith Road at milepost 1.41 in Frankford Township on Monday, August 15, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com. Body Of NJ Man Missing For Months Found By Hunters, Police Say
The body of a well-known 23-year-old man missing for months was found by hunters in a wooded area in Sussex County, authorities confirmed Tuesday. North Warren High School graduate Daniel Cannone — who went missing last October — was found dead in Frankford early Sunday, Blairstown Police said. He was found near in a “not often traversed” wooded area near the Frankford Municipal Building, according to the NJHerald, which cites assistant Sussex County Prosecutor Gregory Mueller. Wawa To Break Ground In Sussex County
Wawa will be breaking ground in Sussex County on Dec. 10 for the opening of their newest location, NJ Advance Media reports. A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Wawa will happen at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Route 15 and Route 206 in Frankford Township. The store will occupy the former space of The Chatterbox, an iconic New Jersey drive-in restaurant that shut down three years ago and was demolished in March 2021.
