Giants Grant Low-Performing QB Daniel Jones' Release As Tommy DeVito Prepares For Season Debut
NY Giants QB Daniel Jones' request to be released by the team has been granted, ESPN reports. Jones, who was drafted in the first round with the sixth overall pick in 2019, was benched during the Giants' bye week and later took responsibility for not producing more wins, the outlet reported. New Jersey's Tommy DeVito will make his season debut this Sunday, Nov. 24 when the Giants face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Teen Football Player Airlifted After Losing Feeling In Legs In Sussex County, Police Say
A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital after he was injured playing football on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 21, in Sussex County authorities said. At 8:11 p.m., the boy was playing football at Station Park in Sparta Township when he temporarily lost feeling in his legs, Sparta Township Police Captain Thomas Snyder said. An Atlantic Air helicopter transported the boy to Morristown Medical Center, Snyder said. The young athlete regained feeling in both legs before the helicopter arrived, but was still hospitalized for for further evaluation, Snyder said.
