Big Lots! has announced the closures of even more locations since filing for bankruptcy in September. The company announced on Monday, Sept. 9 that it will sell its assets to an affiliate of private equity firm Nexus Capital Management. Body Found Floating In NJ River
Police recovered a body from a New Jersey river early Thursday, Aug. 8, authorities said. Marine Service Troopers were dispatched to the Raritan River and South River in East Brunswick around 7:40 a.m., where they found a man's body floating in the water, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. No further information was provided. The incident remains under investigation.

In his 31 years of leading school districts, East Brunswick Public Schools Superintendent Victor Valeski said he'd never had to craft a school budget as difficult as the one for 2024-25. There was an $7.8 million rise in costs and $1.3 million reduction in state aid in next year's school budget. "This is by far the hardest and most impactful," Valeski told Daily Voice. New Jersey is continuing to invest in production. The New Jersey Economic Developing Authority announced on Wednesday, April 10, it has approved $9.5 million in funding to support five projects under the Film and Digital Media Studio Infrastructure Program.
