East Rutherford Residents Must License Dogs In January RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Rutherford is reminding residents dog licenses must be obtained by Jan. 4 at the borough clerk's office. As per state law and borough ordinance, all dogs within the borough must be licensed on a yearly basis. Licenses are valid from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 each year.  License fees are $10 for spayed/neutered dogs, $13 for non-spayed/non-neutered dogs.  Proof of rabies vaccination is required to obtain a 2016 license. New Rule Will Impact E-zpass Holders Crossing Tappan Zee Bridge A new E-ZPass rule will go into effect next month, forcing all drivers with a New Jersey E-ZPass account to transfer to a New York E-ZPass account in order to keep their Tappan Zee Bridge Commuter Plan, reported lohud.com.  The 3,400 affected drivers who don't switch will have to pay the standard Tappan Zee E-ZPass toll of $4.75 per trip compared with the discounted rate of $3 beginning next month, said lohud.com.  The New York State Thruway Authority said it will be easier to have all Tappan Zee Bridge customers dealing with the New York E-ZPass service center. Julius Cole, 105, Of Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- Julius Cole, of Norwalk, died on Monday, Dec. 28. He was 105.  Cole was born on Sept. 14, 1910 in Quitman, Georgia, to the late Lucious Cole and Pearl Bell. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and retired from the YMCA of New Canaan after numerous years of service.  He is survived by his wife wife, Rev. She was 76.  She was born March 26, 1939 the daughter of the late Luigi & Vita Ventresca. Gibson graduated Commerce High School in 1957. On April 4, 1964 she married John W. The project involves a 300-foot boardwalk across wetlands and a half-mile of new trail. It will cost $350,000 to extend the trail to Skunk Lane. Finance Students Help Bring Home Trophy For Danbury's Wcsu DANBURY, Conn. -- A team of finance students from Western Connecticut State University’s Ancell School of Business took top place at the state level of the Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) on Dec. 11 and will compete in the finals in January.  Students were challenged to allocate $100,000 among business plan finalists in a separate competition, the CT Business Plan Competition.
