Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Just hours after Nadine was upgraded to a tropical storm early Saturday morning, Oct. 19, a brand-new hurricane burst onto the scene. Person Hospitalized After 2-Vehicle Coram Crash A person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Coram. A 47-year-old Coram man was riding a bicycle northbound on West Yaphank Road, south of Beach Lane, when he was struck by a northbound 2015 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 48-year-old woman. The bicyclist was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Grace, The driver of the Sonata was not injured. Woman Attacked By Dog At Elmont Home A woman is recovering after being attacked by a dog on Long Island. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Elmont. Nassau County Police officers responding to the Newburgh Street residence found the 81-year-old had suffered multiple lacerations to various parts of her body.  The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injuries. She is currently listed in stable condition.  The Nassau County Emergency Service Unit (ESU) responded and secured the animals. The investigation is ongoing.

20-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Crashing Into Cars, Tree In Elmont A motorist was airlifted to the hospital after slamming into several cars and a tree on a Long Island roadway. The crash occurred at 4:30 pm on Thursday, Oct. 17, in Elmont.
