Harassment Complaints Against Ridgewood Councilman Dropped
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — A prosecuting attorney dropped the three separate harassment complains against Ridgewood Councilman Jeffrey Voigt for insufficient evidence, NorthJersey.com reports. The complaints were filed in May and June by Ridgewood residents Lorraine Reynolds, and Boyd and Anne Loving, the article says. President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced he will be phasing out the Obama Administration's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy with an expiration date of March 5, 2018. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie this week signed a law that leaves it up to the municipality to establish civil penalty for smoking in public places. It's still illegal — but A-2368 means you might not get jail time for it. The law takes effect immediately and without it, violators will be charged with a criminal offense that comes with a fine of up to $200, 30 days in jail or both.

Wyckoff PD: DWI Driver, 21, Crashes Car Into Pole
WYCKOFF, N.J. – A 21-year-old Wyckoff woman was drunk when she crashed her car into a utility pole, authorities said. Susan Springer also didn’t have registration or an insurance card when an officer found the wreckage on Mountain Avenue just after 11 p.m. last Sunday, Police Chief David Murphy said Friday. She was charged with DWI, failure to exhibit proper documents, failing to maintain a lane and reckless driving. Springer was issued court summonses and released to a responsible adult pending a hearing.

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. — Republican nominee for governor Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno officially announced Woodcliff Lake Mayor Carlos Rendo as her running mate.
