What's With Helicopters, SUVs? Gov. Christie Dining In Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Gov. Chris Christie stepped off of a helicopter at Benjamin Franklin Middle School in Ridgewood and hit the town, village officials told Daily Voice.

He was greeted by black SUVs and lots of police officers, according to unofficial reports.

Christie headed to Park West Loft for a private fundraising party, Mayor Susan Knudsen said.

"Nothing to do with [Village of Ridgewood] government," she told Daily Voice.
