Two Dead In Plane Crash Near Westchester Airport The identities have been released of two people who were killed after a small plane crashed near Westchester County Airport. The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 near the airport in White Plains. The wreckage of the single-engine Beechcraft A36 was found just west of the airport near Rye Lake (marked in red in the image above). The two were en route from John F. Passaic's Jewish Community Mourns Beloved St. Mary's Pediatrician Elliot Samet Elliot Samet, a beloved physician at St. Mary's General Hospital, died of coronavirus Tuesday. Samet, remembered as a "leading pediatrician" in Passaic's Jewish community, practiced medicine for 38 years and served as a primary neonatologist at St. Mary's. He was also a founding member of Passaic's Hatzolah, volunteer emergency medical service organization serving Jewish communities around the world.
