The Amazing Kreskin, a mentalist who captivated audience for decades with his seemingly supernatural abilities, died in Caldwell on Tuesday, Dec. 10, his manager announced.
Kreskin, who performed hundreds of live shows a year, was known for his signature flourish: he would have an audience member hide his paycheck for the performance and he would have to find it. If he didn't find it, Kreskin wouldn't get paid.

Richard Lewis, the iconic comedian who dressed in all black and was raised in Bergen County, died on Tuesday, Feb 27 from a heart attack, his publicist said. He was 76.
Lewis lived in Englewood and was a 1965 graduate of Dwight Morrow High School. Getting into standup in the 1970s, he made numerous appearances on "The Tonight Show" and "Late Night With David Letterman," where he would vent about his various hangups, freely using his hands to make a point. Comedy Central named him one of the 100 Greatest Comedians Of All-Time.

Chris Rock Says He's Got Covid-19: 'Trust Me You Don't Want This'
Chris Rock became the latest celebrity to announce that he has the coronavirus -- and after being vaccinated.
“Hey guys I just found out I have COVID," Rock tweeted Sunday. "[T]rust me you don’t want this," he added. "Get vaccinated.”
Rock, 56, who has a home in Alpine, joked with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" in May that he'd skipped the line to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
“I didn’t care. I used my celebrity, Jimmy," he said. "I didn’t care. I was like, ‘Hey, step aside, Betty White. Step aside, old people. Judge Judy, kiss my ass.' I was like Billy Zane on the Titanic.”
