A community in Bergen County is rallying for a 16-year-old boy battling cancer. Colin Stern, a sophomore at Saddle Brook High School, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) when he was 20 months old, according to a GoFundMe account launched by a Peggy Dressel Pappas. "After 3 ½ years of grueling treatment, he finally went into remission," the page reads. "[Eleven] years later, in an extremely rare occurrence, Colin’s leukemia has returned. Saddle Brook HS Wrestler Headed To Nation's Top Junior College Program
Saddle Brook High School senior Dean Setticase this past week signed a commitment letter to attend and wrestle at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, which has the No. 1 junior college program in the country. Clackamas this past season won the team national championship and had nine of their 10 wrestlers capture All-American honors. Setticase, who'll attend Clackamas on a full wrestling scholarship, had 52 wins and only three losses for the SBHS Falcons his senior year. SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- A funeral mass was scheduled this Friday for a popular 20-year-old Saddle Brook man who died suddenly on Easter Sunday. Services Set For Saddle Brook's Andrew Gutierrez, 15
Andrew Gutierrez of Saddle Brook died suddenly on Friday, Feb. 16. He was 15 years old. Born in Ridgewood, he’s been a lifelong resident of Saddle Brook and was a student at Saddle Brook High School. Gutierrez is the second teen to die in Saddle Brook in less than three months. A vigil in his honor will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Veterans Field.
