Multiple Central Jersey residents were baffled by a loud boom that shook their houses on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Ring app users reported hearing and feeling the massive explosion around noon. One person speculated some commotion at Naval Weapons Station Earle, in Colts Neck, and another said this is not the first time that the boom has occurred. Police in Morris County are setting the record straight regarding a bogus assault report that was posted on a local neighborhood alert site. A report about an assault involving armed assailants driving a white vehicle near Overlook Avenue in East Hanover Township was shared on the Ring app on Friday, August 5, Police Chief Chris Cannizzo said in a release. “This information was entirely inaccurate,” Cannizzo said. Residents Help Point Englewood PD To 'Vehicle Of Interest' In Overnight Shooting
Surveillance videos submitted by Englewood residents have pointed to a vehicle that police believe may have been involved in an overnight shooting. No one reported being struck by gunfire in last Tuesday’s shooting in the 200 block of Pindle Avenue between 1-1:30 a.m., Detective Capt. Timothy Torell said. Police recovered ballistics evidence and collected more than a dozen home surveillance videos through the Ring app, Torell said.
