Two people were rescued and taken to a trauma center with serious injuries after their car veered off a Hunterdon County roadway and plunged into a pond early Monday morning, authorities said. The Whitehouse Rescue Squad responded with local police to the crash off Higginsville Road in Readington and found the trapped victims around 7:30 a.m., the squad said. Trapped Victim Extricated Following Head-On Hunterdon County Crash
A trapped victim was extricated from a vehicle following a head-on crash in Hunterdon County, authorities said. The crash occurred on Route 202 northbound near Burgers Motorcycle in Flemington shortly before 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, according to the Three Bridges Volunteer Fire Department, which responded alongside the Whitehouse Rescue Squad. The vehicle was stabilized before crew members used spreaders and cutters to remove the door and safely remove the victim. A beloved 26-year-old tow truck driver was struck and killed while responding to a Hunterdon County crash scene Tuesday afternoon, authorities confirmed. Gary Vondrasek, 86, was driving a 2014 Cadillac Escalade westbound in the left lane of Route 22 near the Phillips 66 Gas Station in Readington when he drifted into the median and hit a disabled vehicle and tow truck driver, identified as Seth Newton, just after 3 p.m., Readington Township Police said. A peeping tom was caught and arrested for looking into strangers’ windows in Hunterdon County, police said. Amner Ochoa-Cifuentes, 34, was seen peering into windows of at least one home on Pulaski Road in Readington around 9:10 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6, township police said. Ochoa-Cifuentes, of Flemington, was taken into custody the following evening and charged with six counts of criminal trespass, police said. Driver Taken To Trauma Center In Hunterdon County Rollover Crash: Police
A driver was taken to a nearby trauma center following a rollover crash in Hunterdon County, authorities said. The vehicle crashed into a telephone pole and overturned on Route 523 near Edgewood Road in Readington around 6:15 p.m. Friday, township police said in a release. Passenger Crashes Pickup, Jumps Into Backyard Pool After Wild NJ State Police Chase
A passenger hopped into the driver's seat of a pickup truck during a traffic stop and led New Jersey State Police on a wild chase before crashing and jumping into a backyard pool, authorities said. Troopers responding to a call Monday of an erratically driven Ford pickup pulled it over on the eastbound side of Route 78 in Readington (Hunterdon County) around 1:30 p.m., Trooper Charles Marchan said.
