Salesman Who Suffered Brain Injury Gets $9M Settlement In NJ Turnpike Tire Blowout Crash
The law firm representing a salesman who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a New Jersey Turnpike crash said it has obtained a $9 million settlement. Ernest Damiani of Monroe, NY, was on his way to a sales call when he pulled onto the Turnpike shoulder in Middlesex County on Aug. 2, 2018, authorities said. Rutherford Siblings Suing Apple: Faulty iPad Battery Led To Father's Death
Apple is facing a lawsuit from the children of a Parsippany man claiming a faulty battery pack in an iPad started a fire that ultimately led to his death, Apple Insider reports. The civil suit was filed by Bradley Ireland's daughter Julia Ireland Meo and son Benjamin Ireland of Rutherford with the U.S. District Court. A report of a third dog being burned by at the Ridgefield Park Animal Hospital could be the worst case yet. This time, the vet says 12-year-old Stella was burned by a heating table that had lost its sensors -- not a heating pad -- according to emails obtained by Daily Voice.
