As President Joe Biden cruised to victory in New Jersey in the 2020 presidential election, he got some help from two counties that went his way after voting for former President Donald Trump in 2016: Morris and Gloucester. Morris County went to Biden, 51.14% to 46.90%, 153,881 votes to 141,134 votes. Newly-released forecast maps show parts of the region could see up to six inches of snow in the end-of-week storm. The National Weather Service has released rainfall totals from the weekend storm. Between Sunday morning, Dec. 10 and Monday morning, Dec. 11, the area that got the most amount of rain was Deerfield with 4.45 inches, then Flemington/Hopewell, with 4.29 inches. 21-Year-Old Man Killed In Route 80 Crash
A 21-year-old Morris County man was killed in a Route 80 crash over the weekend, authorities said. Kevin Barradas of Dover was heading east in a Saab 93 when his car veered off the road to the right and hit a road marker in Parsippany on Friday evening, New Jersey State Police said. The car overturned and hit a tree, killing Barradas. The exit lane for Exit 45, which leads to Lake Hiawatha and Whippany, was closed for about two hours following the collision, State Police reported.

Morris County's Justin Seekamp died on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Newton Medical Center, and became an organ donor. He was 39 years old. A dad of two, Seekamp was "the loudest parent at every swim meet" and popular member of the Cranberry Lake community, according to his obituary. Two business partners from Bergen and Morris counties operated a clinical lab that defrauded government health insurance programs out of an estimated $3.5 million for COVID testing, federal authorities charged. A serious crash involving a pedestrian created several traffic changes in Parsippany during the investigation that followed on Sunday, Oct. 9, authorities said.
