A load shift apparently was to blame. Two of them – William Dixon, 24, and Nishir Rios-Figueroa, 30 – were already in custody in connection with other crimes, State Police said on Tuesday. They captured the third, Mustafa Manns, 28, in Newark. Update: Car Carrier Of Hybrids Catches Fire, Closes Route 17 (Photos) A car carrier loaded with hybrids caught fire, causing some major morning headaches on northbound Route 17. Special foam was needed to help extinguish the blaze, which apparently broke out in the brake system and spread early Wednesday, Sept. 28, Saddle River Police Chief Jason Cosgriff said. SUV Rolls In Route 80 Pileup A driver was injured when his SUV overturned in a multi-vehicle crash Monday night on rainy Route 80, responders said. Tractor-Trailer Pileup On Route 17N In Ho-Ho-Kus Backs Traffic For Miles Three tractor-trailers were involved in a pileup that temporarily closed northbound Route 17 in Ho-Ho-Kus Friday morning. Traffic was backed up to Paramus after the crash near Hollywood Avenue just before 10:30 a.m. One rig jackknifed across the center and right lanes, and a significant amount of diesel fuel spilled onto the roadway when a saddle tank on one of the other tractors ruptured.  Ho-Ho-Kus police and firefighters responded along with an emergency response crew from the NJ Department of Transportation.
