Team USA will make its return to the Olympics in women's field hockey and a duo from New Jersey helped the 16-player squad earn a summer trip to France. The U.S. beat Japan 2-1 in the semifinals of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Olympic Qualifiers in Ranchi, India, on Thursday, Jan. 18. Courtney Brosnan, who was raised in Short Hills and attended Millburn High School, is the goalkeeper for Team Ireland at the 2023 Women's World Club which starts Thursday, July 20 in Australia and New Zealand. Rugby player Tevita Bryce moved to the US after his mom died of cancer over the summer. But things are only getting more challenging for him. The Montclair Rugby Football Club player, 28, collapsed during a game against Morris Mens Rugby Saturday, according to an Instagram post by MRFC. Mosques throughout Bergen County were getting extra attention Friday following the massacre of 49 worshippers in New Zealand.
