Police said it forced the closure of Elizabeth Avenue at 4th Street.  The roadway reopened early Tuesday morning, officers said. No injuries were reported, authorities said.

Tesla Rear-Ends Box Truck On NJ Turnpike: State Police A box truck crash on the New Jersey Turnpike held up traffic Tuesday afternoon, March 11. An Isuzu box truck parked on the right shoulder of the northbound lanes was rear-ended by a Tesla passenger vehicle, also heading north, which had lost control around 1:15 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. Tolls On Garden State Parkway, NJ Turnpike Rising For 3rd Consecutive Year Tolls will increase on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway for a third consecutive year. The 3 percent toll hikes were originally approved in 2020. The latest hike was adopted on Tuesday, Oct. 25 as part of the 2023 budget, according to New Jersey Turnpike Authority spokesman Thomas Feeney. The $2.5 billion 2023 Turnpike Authority budget increased by 7.4% over 2022. The increase was attributed to “pressures on discretionary travel and costs due to an inflation rate of 8.3%, a level not seen in 40 years," the authority said in a memo.
