Surveillance video shows the suspect spitting on and hitting the driver with an umbrella around 1 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Clinton Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. Lalilani Vargas was reported missing from the 100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard Monday, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said. Lalilani was last seen at 7:40 p.m., wearing a black and yellow plaid shirt, brown crop top, light denim jean jacket, black Nike sneakers, black small nap sack with red lips on it and a black baseball cap. Update: Seven Shot, One Killed Within Minutes In Newark Tuesday Afternoon UPDATE, 7 p.m. -- Newark police said one of the victims, a male, was killed in the shooting at Martin Luther King Boulevard. Two females suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Also, about five minutes after the first shooting, a total of four males were wounded by gunfire at 200 South Orange Avenue. None of the injuries are life-threatening, police said.  The identity of the deceased victim was not immediately released.
