Tributes Pour In For Longtime First Responder Leslie Graf, Passaic County Native
Leslie Graf, a lifelong New Jersey resident and longtime first responder, died on Tuesday, March 5 at the age of 77, according to her obituary.
Born in Kearny in 1947, Graf lived in Nutley before moving to Wayne, her obituary reads. She met her husband Bill while attending Wayne Valley High School and they raised their three daughters in Bloomingdale, according to her obituary.

Drowned North Jersey Fishermen Identified
Authorities have identified the two fishermen who drowned New Year's Weekend at Split Rock Reservoir.
The bodies of Stanislaw Grezesik, 64, of Clifton, and Tadeusz Florczuk, 76, of Passaic, went on the ice fishing trip at Split Rock Reservoir in Kinnelon on Friday, Dec. 30 — but never returned home, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said.
Family members called 911 on Dec. 31 at 2 p.m., and the fishermen's belongings were found on the shoreline at the reservoir — along with two holes in the ice approximately 100 yards from shore.

Late-Night Blaze Destroys West Milford Home
No one was home when a roaring fire consumed a West Milford home Monday night, displacing its three residents, responders said.
The blaze broke out in the 2½-story Cape Cod on Macopin Road, south of Bubbling Springs Park, just after 8:45 p.m., Police Detective Sgt. Eric Darnsteadt said.
The fire went to four alarms a little over an hour later and then a fifth 20 or so minutes after that.

Education Fund Set For Sons Of Morris County Cardiologist, Sargis Khoobiar, 43
The community is rallying for the family of Dr. Sargis Khoobiar, a longtime Madison resident who died after an unexpected illness.
He died on Feb. 8, and was 43 years old.
More than $105,800 had been raised as of Wednesday on an education fund set for his three sons, Brian, Connor and Hunter Khoobiar.

Wayne PD: Detective Busts Fugitive Shooting Heroin In Pickup Off Route 23
WAYNE, N.J. -- A Morris County fugitive was preparing to shoot heroin in a pickup truck off Route 23 when a Wayne police detective showed up, authorities said.
Detective Paul Kindler approached the black 2014 Toyota Tacoma in a remote area off the highway and saw Jason Devonmille, 36, of Kinnelon, opening a bag of the drug, Detective Capt. Laurence Martin said Wednesday.
Inside the truck were several used bags, along with 15 full ones, a tourniquet and a hypodermic needle, he said.
