Grand Jury: Officers Justified Killing Pair In 2019 Jersey City Firefight
Police were justified in shooting a couple who killed a fellow officer and three civilians in Jersey City, authorities on Wednesday said a state grand jury has found. Some would question the need for such a review given the circumstances of the fateful Dec. 10, 2019 firefight at a kosher grocery store. The answer: It’s required under New Jersey law and state attorney general’s guidelines. Authorities had no choice. David Anderson, 47, and Francine Graham, 50, had slain Jersey City Police Officer Joseph Seals in a nearby cemetery. They then wounded another officer before killing Mindy Fere…

Jersey Shore Pawn Shop Owner Tied To Shooting Deaths Of JC Officer, 3 Others Gets Fed Pen Time
A Jersey Shore pawn shop owner who was arrested in connection with the December 2019 shooting deaths of a Jersey City police detective and three civilians was sent to federal prison Tuesday for 18 months. A handwritten note found in the pocket of one of the two assailants who were shot dead by police led investigators to Ahmed A-Hady, a 36-year-old ex-con. It contained a telephone number ending in 4115 and the address of the pawn shop, they said. A-Hady had been convicted in 2012 of trying to obtain prescription drugs by fraud, which prohibited him from possessing a firearm, records show. …

'Dozens If Not More Lives Saved' By Slain Jersey City Detective, Federal Authorities Say
Slain veteran Jersey City Police Detective Joseph Seals likely prevented dozens of other deaths that day, authorities said Monday. Seals, 40, of Lyndhurst, was investigating the death of a livery driver in Bayonne when David Anderson, 47, and Francine Graham, 50, shot him in the Bayview Cemetery just before 12:30 p.m. Dec. 10, and drove off, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said. They were killed in a gunfight with police, but not after killing three other people. Based on the arsenal of guns and a viable bomb found in their U-Haul truck, as well as Google searches and more, authorities beli…
