Home Is Where The Dog Is: Paramus Crash Victim Recovers With Beloved Pup
Brendan O'Callaghan is in a better place -- at home in Paramus and healing. The 11-year-old was among the 43 victims of this month's Route 80 school bus crash that took the lives of two people. "He could barely comprehend anything in the hospital," mom Jackie Maltz O'Callaghan said. "All he did was cry for Chewie." After more than two weeks in the hospital, Brendan finally made it home to his beloved pup. His parents say there is no better place to be. "This is why it is so much better to heal at home," O'Callaghan said, along with the above photo of her so…

If convicted of the two vehicular homicide counts, Hudy Muldrow Sr. of Woodland Park could face five to 10 years in state prison, 85% of which he’d have to serve before being eligible for parole. A detention hearing was scheduled for Friday in Morristown for Muldrow, who, records show, has been cited for speeding eight times and had his driver’s license suspended several others. Muldrow was transporting 44 …

But ever since a school bus she and her classmates were in collided with a dump truck on Route 80 last week, the young East Brook Middle School student has remained in critical condition in a pediatric intensive care unit with severe head trauma. "Sofia has a long recovery ahead of her, but she is resilient and a fighter," said her brother, Rob Evelich, who launched a GoFundMe page for his sister that had raised more than $17,000 as of Monday afternoon. "My parents have not left her side and will …

: First Smile For Boy In Paramus School Bus Crash Comes From NYRangers
The last few days have been gloomy for middle-schooler Brendan O'Callaghan of Paramus. But thanks to the New York Rangers, things for a moment were brighter Saturday for the 11-year-old East Brook student, who's been at Morristown Medical Center since the bus he and his classmates were on collided with a dump truck on Route 80 Thursday, killing a young classmate and a teacher. Brendan, an avid New York Rangers fan, was given a signed stick by his idol, goalie Henrik Lundqvist, as well as a card from the entire team.
