Authorities are investigating after Anthony Ambrose, the former chief of detectives for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, accidentally shot himself on Friday, March 22. The incident occurred at a private office complex in Cedar Grove, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II said. A 13-year-old girl was hospitalized after being attacked by a coyote Friday afternoon, June 30, officials in Essex County said. The teen suffered puncture wounds to her leg around 3 p.m. at South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, a spokesperson for the Essex County Sheriff's Office said.
