Garfield police turned to the public for help Thursday in finding two men wanted for questioning in connection with $11,000 in cash, jewelry and electronics during a home burglary. No one was home when the burglars entered through a side window of the Farnham Avenue residence shortly before 5:30 p.m. June 6, Detective Capt. Richard Uram said. Glen Rock PD Charges Nanny With Stealing Electronics From Employers
Glen Rock police suspect that a nanny from Garfield who's charged with stealing $2,000 worth of electronics from her employers stole $18,500 worth of their jewelry, as well. The Rutland Road homeowners had given Sarah Zughbi, 28, full access to the inside of the family home when they hired her to care for their children, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. Authorities arrested a 50-year-old Jersey City man who they said picked his way into a Cliffside Park apartment and made off with electronics and jewelry.
