Arrest Made In Deadly Union County Shooting
A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 50-year-old man on Friday, March 11 in Union County, authorities said. Haneef Welch was charged with first-degree murder and related weapons offenses for gunning down Eric C. Williams in Plainfield, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel said. Williams was found with injuries near the intersection of Johnston Ave and Front Street around 4 p.m., Daniel said alongside Plainfield Police Director James T. Abney. Gunman In Hillside Homicide Nabbed At Newark Airport, Prosecutor Says
A 30-year-old Newark man was arrested at Newark Airport Wednesday morning in connection with the killing of a 31-year-old Hillside man last month, authorities announced. Darrius L. Easterling is accused of shooting Steven Zimmerman on the 1400 block of North Broad Street around 10 p.m. July 22, Union County Prosecutor William A. A Union County grand jury returned a three-count indictment against a man accused of killing a stranger with a blunt object last summer, authorities announced. Oliver I.
