Hasbrouck Heights Couple Welcomes Last New Jersey Baby Born In 2015

HACKENSACK, N.J. — Just 30 seconds before the New Year, Jared Branda and Stephanie Lopez of Hasbrouck Heights welcomed baby Jacob Michael Branda at The Donna A. Sanzari Women’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center, according to a press release.

Weighing 7 pounds and 1 ounce, and measuring 19 and 3/4 inches long, Jacob was the last baby born in New Jersey, the press release said.

After a long labor and about two hours of pushing, little Jacob arrived just before the clock stuck midnight, according to the press release.

“It is all so surreal,” Lopez said in the press release. “I feel like I am on a cloud right now.”
