HACKENSACK, N.J. — Just 30 seconds before the New Year, Jared Branda and Stephanie Lopez of Hasbrouck Heights welcomed baby Jacob Michael Branda at The Donna A. Sanzari Women’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center, according to a press release.
Jared Branda and Stephanie Lopez, of Hasbrouck Heights, welcomed baby Jacob to the world 30 seconds before midnight on Dec. 31. Baby Jacob was the last baby born in New Jersey before the new year.

After a long labor and about two hours of pushing, little Jacob arrived just before the clock stuck midnight, according to the press release.
“It is all so surreal,” Lopez said in the press release. “I feel like I am on a cloud right now.”
