PA's Damar Hamlin Of Buffalo Bills Collapses, Monday Night Football Game Postponed Defensive back Damar Hamlin, a Pittsburgh College graduate and McKees Rocks native out of Pennsylvania, suffered a terrifying injury that postponed a Monday Night Football game between his Buffalo Bills and the hometown Cincinnati Bengals. Roughly six minutes remained in the first quarter when Hamlin, 24, made an open-field tackle on Bengals wideout Tee Higgins, who'd caught a pass while headed across the middle of the field. Standout PA Wrestler Mikey Racciato, 26, Dead On Christmas Day Standout Slate Belt wrestler Michael "Mikey" Racciato died on Christmas Day, at 26 years old. A public walk-through visitation will be Jan. 3, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ruggiero Funeral Home in Pen Argyl.  Racciato was born in Bethlehem and lived in Plainfield Township. He pronounced dead Friday in Northampton County, according to Coroner Zachary Lysek.  The cause and manner of death were not immediately known. Racciato graduated Pen Argyl with a 186-8 record and went on to wrestle on scholarship for University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated in 2017. He was a three-time PIAA Class…

Longtime Hillsdale Resident Larry Loeffler, 90 Lawrence Edgar Loeffler formerly of Hillsdale died March 16. He was 90 years old. Born June 8, 1929, Loeffler was raised in Oakmont, PA by Emil “Dutch” and Hilda Loeffler, along with identical twin Emil and sister Louise.  He and his brother started working at an early age with their father at the Oakmont Country Club, where Dutch was the greenskeeper and Pro. Larry graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in Civil Engineering. He enlisted in 1952 in the US Navy and served on the USS Perry as Chief Engineer. In 1958 he joined the Active Naval Reserves and retired as a Commander i…
