HP Hood LLC is recalling 96-ounce containers of Lactaid Milk because the product may contain trace amounts of almond, which is not listed on the label.  People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products, according to an announcement by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Did You Buy It? Beef Jerky Recall Issued A national recall has been announced for more than a thousand pounds of a popular beef jerky product that may contain known allergens. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that Whip City Jerky, a Westfield, Mass. company, is recalling 1,391 pounds of products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. Officials said that the jerky contains milk, which is not declared on the product label. The contaminated products were produced between Dec. 18 last year and Jan. 31.
