Loose Barges Floating On The Hudson Click here for an updated story: Coast Guard Beaches Six Barges That Went Loose On Hudson Multiple barges are floating loose in the Hudson River near Irvington amid the Nor'easter, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. Two of the four to six barges thought to be from the Tappan Zee Bridge project have run aground, near State Line Lookout 2 in Alpine, N.J., said the Palisades Parkway Police.
