A former Galloway Township gymnastics coach was accused of sexually assaulting a girl under 16 years old, authorities said. The Galloway Township Police Department announced the arrest of 51-year-old Matthew Shriver in a news release on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The Brigantine man was a co-owner of Everest Gymnastics and Tumbling Center in Galloway Township. The investigation began after officers received a report regarding the abuse accusations. 52 Arrested In 'Elaborate' Cockfighting Ring In South Jersey: Police
More than 50 people were arrested after police broke up a large cockfighting ring in Atlantic County, authorities said. Galloway Township police executed a search warrant at a home on the 300 block of South Bremen Avenue on Saturday, Mar. 9, the department said in a news release. When officers arrived, a large group of people were there and many tried to run away before they were detained. A South Jersey woman is facing charges in three different towns after abandoning several dogs in a forest and paying for parvo treatment using a stolen credit card, authorities said. Trouble for 45-year-old Jodi Wozniak began on Sept. 16, when five German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois were found in the woods near N. Human Remains Found In South Jersey Woods
Human remains were found earlier this week in a wooded area in South Jersey, authorities said. A nearby resident stumbled upon the skeletal remains believed to be of a male, in the woods, according to Galloway police. The call came in about 8:40 a.m. Monday at 187 South Pomona Road in Galloway Township, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said. An autopsy has been completed and the results are pending.
