Wendy's E. Coli Outbreak Sickens 100+ People: Report
The number of people sickened by an E. coli outbreak linked to Wendy's sandwiches continues to climb, the New York Post reports. While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention initially said 37 people in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania were sickened from eating lettuce in the sandwiches, that number has since jumped to more than 100, the outlet said. Wendy's said it's taking precautions by throwing out and replacing the lettuce. Chick-fil-A is opening yet another New Jersey location. The new store located on West Edgar Road in Linden is set to open on March 10, bringing 120 full- and part-time jobs to the area. Smashburger Closes 2 Locations In North, Central Jersey
A pair of New Jersey Smashburger restaurants have closed The burger joint shuttered its restaurants in Hackensack and Toms River last month. The Hackensack store was located at the Shops at Riverside, while the Toms River store was in the shopping plaza at 2 Route 37. A company spokesperson told NJ.com the locations closed to "strengthen our position as a leading better burger restaurant." Smashburger currently has 25 New Jersey restaurants, its website says.
