Valley Chabad In Woodcliff Lake Kicks Off Special Needs Winter Sports

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. --  Valley Chabad’s Friendship Circle will begin its winter sports  league on Sunday, Jan. 17.

Under the Woodcliff Lake Basketball Association, children and teens will have an opportunity to practice the rules, techniques of sports, have a chance to dribble, shoot and score on a team. Professional coaches and volunteers will guide their friends to develop skills, confidence, engage in physical health and friendship.

The Friendship Circle, run by Valley Chabad, is a program that pairs teenage volunteers with children and teens with special needs. This program reaches out and extends warmth, friendship, and support to children and their families.

Sessions will take place on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 5 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 24 at 5 p.m.; Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m.; Monday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 6 at 5 p.m.
