Bergen Community VP From Hillsdale Recognized By Honor Society

HILLSDALE, N.J. -- Academic Vice President William Mullaney, Ph.D., of Hillsdale was recognized with the Regional Coordinator Award for Chapter Administrators at Bergen Community College's honor society.

He was among five faculty and student leaders who achieved international and regional recognition.

Bergen Community College’s Alpha Epsilon Phi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society of two-year institutions, recently earned recognition as one of the top 30 chapters in the world.

The awards were announced at the honor society’s annual conference – “NerdNation” – April 7-9 in Maryland.

Nationwide, approximately 91 percent of Phi Theta Kappa members earn an associate degree or transfer to a four-year institution, compared to the national rate of 38 percent.
