Woodcliff Lake Proposes Plastic Bag Ban

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. — Plastic shopping bags may soon be banned from Woodcliff Lake stores, northjersey.com reports.

The council proposed an ordinance that would prohibit retailers from using plastic bags for customer purchases. Instead, stores would be required to provide reusable bags, compostable plastic bags and paper bags. 

A public hearing on the ordinance will be held at the Sept. 8 council meeting.
