EMERSON, N.J. -- Ruth Joan (Royce), 82 of Emerson and formerly of Fair Lawn, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2015.
Born and raised in Paterson, she resided in Fair Lawn for more than 55 years.
A faithful parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn, she was a member of the Rosary Society, Legion of Mary and active with numerous church activities.
She was the wife of the late Alexander De Negri; mother of Charlene Sheehan and her husband John, Alexis Marks and her husband Len, Alexander De Negri Jr. and his wife Marie, Mark De Negri and his wife Sue, John De Negri and his wife Loren, and Ryan De Negri and the late Mary B. De Negri; grandmother of 12; great-grandmother of 10; sister of the late Irene Racicot and Charles Royce; and longtime companion of Ray Ferriola.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral Mass is planned for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne St., Fair Lawn. Interment will follow at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Anne R.C. Church.
