Joseph W. Furner, 38, Of Hillsdale

HILLSDALE, N.Y. – Joseph W. Furner, a resident of Hillsdale, died Saturday, June 11. He was 38.

He was born Nov.16, 1977 in Hamilton.

A graduate of Taconic Hills, he went on to work in construction and was a skilled carpenter. He was a talented musician with a love of distilling, cars, music, the outdoors, his friends, family and dog Reilly. He was a kind soul with a huge heart and a captivating smile and laugh.

He is survived by his parents Bill and Zelda Furner; siblings Edward (Gina) Furner, Melissa (Ricky) Rothvoss and Billy (Lisa) Furner; nephew Cooper Rothvoss; and nieces Victoria Furner, Abby Jennings and Chelsea Vasko; and life partner Meghan McCann.

A memorial to celebrate his life will be conducted at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Roe Jan Park. Please bring an instrument and a memory to honor him.
